FCL type elastic sleeve pin coupling has the performance of compensating the relative deviation of two shafts. It is suitable for medium and large power transmission, but not for working parts requiring vibration reduction and noise control. The elastic sleeve pin coupling is a pin made of several non-metallic materials, which is placed in the matching hole between the two coupling halves and the inner surface of the outer ring, and the two coupling halves are connected by transmitting torque through the pin.
The reasons for the less allowable compensation of axial displacement of FCL type elastic sleeve pin coupling are as follows:
1、 FCL type elastic sleeve pin coupling relies on the locking force of the pin group to generate the friction torque on the contact surface, and compresses the rubber elastic sleeve to transmit the torque. It is suitable for medium and small power shafting transmission with good mounting base rigidity, high centering accuracy, small impact load and low vibration reduction requirements.
2、 The elastic sleeve is compressed and deformed. Due to its thin thickness, small volume and limited elastic deformation, the elastic sleeve pin coupling can compensate for the axial displacement and elasticity, but the allowable compensation amount of axial displacement is small and the elasticity is weak.
3、 FCL type elastic sleeve pin coupling is simple in structure, easy to manufacture, no lubrication, no vulcanization and bonding with metal, easy to change elastic sleeve, no moving half coupling, and has the performance of compensating the relative offset of two shafts and damping.
